Water bugs (fresh water invertebrates) indicate the health of a waterway. The diversity and abundance of creatures can be scored, and the results indicate water quality. Students and teachers are amazed at what they discover, and this activity is combined with a walk to explain the importance of a healthy environment around the waterway for good biodiversity and sustainability.
Our two venues are Maroondah and Cardinia Reservoir Parks. Parks Victoria reserves the right to close the venues if conditions are not safe, and tours are postponed on days of Total Fire Ban.
Cost: from $12 + GST per student. Minimum numbers apply.
